Meet Jackie

(Me just hanging out!) (Me and my French friends - Oh la la!)

HI, I'm Jackie Chan. Welcome to my blog which I share with my friend, Gnome. I'm new to blogging, so you'll have to bear with me as I begin to share my adventures with you all!

A bit of history on me...

Many years ago I was stuck in Burger King as a lonely "Kid's Meal" toy. One day I got shoved in a paper bag and was given to a little girl with her hamburger. My new owner's mom (Michelle) was a school teacher, and somehow I made my way into her classroom. It was interesting hanging out in a high school, lots of crazy kids - never a dull moment! Michelle's friend, Madamey, liked to steal me. It is all kind of fuzzy in my mind, but I remember once ending up in Madamey's classroom, hung by my head from the ceiling when her room got decorated when she got married. Whew, survived that one anyway.

Eventually Michelle got married at a campground of another teacher friend, and I came along for the adventure, stuck (again) randomly in a box of stuff. (Don't these people care for my feelings???) Madamey had the courtesy to get me out of the box and took me to the wedding reception where I enjoyed having pizza and cake with everyone. They also snapped pictures of me and mailed them to Michelle afterwards. At that point, my life at Michelle's house was over and Madamey (aka, Kirstin) took me home with her.

My life with the Thompson's has had its ups and downs. At first, I got to travel to exciting places, my biggest trip being to France, Belgium, and Amsterdam. Many pictures were taken and I sent postcards of my adventures to Michelle so she wouldn't worry about me. I also went to Atlanta, on a camping trip, and various other outings. In recent years, I've been severely neglected, just stuck on a bookshelf in the computer room of their house. How boooooring. *They* keep going on trips, but don't take me anymore. Wassup with that??

This summer (2006) my current owner's brought me a new friend, a garden gnome. After chatting with gnome, we discovered we were both stolen from Michelle! Gnome will tell you about his adventures in his following posts. Gnome got to go on a big, fat, fun trip this summer - and I again stayed home. Sheesh.

Well, enough about me. I keep brainstorming ways of getting back to Appleton, WI to my old owners, but still haven't figured out a way. (And now I hear they are moving to a new house, so I don't know if I'll ever find them!) Until then, I will post pictures of my adventures (IF they ever take me anywhere!) Or, if Gnome and I do fun stuff together, we'll write about it here!

Adios for now my readers & fans,

Love always,

JC

Meet Gnome

Hi! I'm Gnome. (And a coffee lovin' one at that!)

Wow...where to start? My friend Jackie already gave you some background info on our situation. Yes, I was recently kidnapped from my cozy spot w/ two other gnome buddies in a backyard in Appleton, WI. However, life hasn't been too traumatic since then, to be honest. I do miss my previous owners, but I know someday I will make my way back to them. (Shout Out to my friends Brian, Michelle, Karly, and Braden!) :) I thought it was really funny that the two-year old of my previous owner got blamed at first for my disappearance- hehe.

But, yes, I was kidnapped by Kirstin, and in the spirit of the movie Amelie and the Travelocity ads, I was whisked away on vacation to.... Costa Rica! I will post pictures, don't worry.

In the mean time, I am hanging out with Jackie, trying to decide what to do with the rest of my summer. My new owner has to go back to school soon, but that sounds boring.

Thanks for reading our blog!
